415.2 - The prefixes "oxo-', "dioxo-'', etc., are used also in conjunctive names to indicate substitution.Examples to Rule C-415.1

415.3 - When a carbonyl group is at the point of attachment of a side chain in a carboxylic acid, the name of the side chain is the name of the acyl radical RCO- (including formyl HCO-).Examples to Rule C-415.2
415.4 - When a carbonyl group is present in a side chain but not at either end thereof an "oxoalkyl'' prefix is used.Examples to Rule C-415.3
415.5 - When ring systems are united by a carbonyl group only and one of these ring systems carries a carboxyl group, the compound is named as an acid containing an acyl substituent (see Rules C-403.2 andC-404).Example to Rule C-415.4
