Frankfurt, Germany (September 1, 2009)—Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is pleased to announce the incorporation of a new branch of the company in Frankfurt, Germany. Advanced Chemistry Development Germany GmbH begins operation on September 1st, 2009.
For nearly 10 years, ACD/Labs has been serving the pharmaceutical and chemical industries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, first under the distributorship of ScienceServe, and more recently with direct sales to customers in these regions. Two account managers and an application scientist will service the regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The thorough understanding by these individuals of analytical techniques, software, and the challenges that exist within the industry enhances ACD/Labs Germany’s ability to serve the needs of the growing customer base, and to foster better relations in these important markets.
Oliver Ax joins ACD/Labs as an account manager with 16 years experience in key account and sales management as well as enterprise solution sales. He has a degree in instrumental analytics and has worked with companies such as Waters, Thermo, and CambridgeSoft.
Account Manager Barbara Brandau-Krug, in addition to a doctorate in computational chemistry, brings extensive experience in scientific software product development, marketing, and sales. Dr. Brandau-Krug is fluent in German, French, and English.
Technical support and scientific services continue to be provided by Gerd Rheinwald, who has serviced this region since 2002, both with ScienceServe and ACD/Labs. Dr. Rheinwald has more than 15 years experience, teaching and training in many analytical methods such as NMR, LC/MS, and other optical spectroscopy techniques.
ACD/Labs develops desktop and enterprise software solutions for chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical R&D. Our expertise lies in vendor-neutral spectroscopic data processing and prediction, physicochemical and ADMET property prediction, analytical knowledge management, interactive reporting, and integrating analytical data with chemical structures to help protect and leverage valuable research knowledge.
