ACD/ChemCoder SDK

ACD/ChemCoder SDK version 1.0, release 8.0, is a software development kit that brings the power of ACD/Labs patent pending chemical structure barcode technology to your application.

ACD/ChemCoder SDK is developed for applications that require the ability to encode a single chemical structure to a two dimensional barcode, and vice versa. The ACD/ChemCoder SDK barcode components take their input from a standard molfile or SDfile, and produce a barcode image in a number of barcode (PDF417, DataMatrix, and QR code) and popular image file formats (GIF, JPG, EMF, etc.). The barcode can then be read by the ACD/ChemCoder SDK components, and converted to a standard SDfile. The advantages of this technology are particularly applicable where space, security, and cross-platform transfer of structure information are required. This application is especially suited to the rapid visual structure identification for chemical samples and stock control.

The software development kit provides program interfaces as standard C, Microsoft COM (Common Object Model), and ActiveX controls. It uses OPOS standard drivers to support a variety of barcode scanners.
