Specific Classes of Compounds

R-5.8.4 Cationic and anionic centres in a single structure

Zwitterionic compounds are named by combining appropriate suffixes from Table 6, at the end of the name of a parent hydride (neutral or ionic) in the order "-ium", "-ylium", "-ide", and "-uide".
