Nitriles, Isocyanides, and their Derivatives

Rule C-834

834.1 - Compounds have the generic name "nitrile oxides". In specific cases, "oxide" is added as a separate word after the name of the compound RCN, formed as a nitrile (not as a cyanide) (see Rules C-832.1 and C-832.3).
