Ethers Rule C-213

213.1 - Partial ethers of polyhydroxy compounds may be named either by substitutive nomenclature or by stating the name of the polyhydroxy compound followed, first, by the name of the etherifying radical(s) with any required multiplying prefix, and then by the word "ether".
